Better Finance™️ confirmed as new title sponsor of NZSBK
The 2027 New Zealand Superbike Championship has just got Better.
Better Finance, that is.
The rapidly growing New Zealand finance company has been confirmed as the new naming rights sponsor of the country's premier motorcycle road racing series.
The championship will now be known as the better finance™️ New Zealand Superbike Championship.
Founded by Managing Director Sam Cavanagh, better finance™️ specialises in vehicle, personal and business asset lending. With offices in Auckland and Christchurch and a team of expert advisers, the company has helped more than 60,000 Kiwis secure finance solutions.
NZSBK promoter Mike Marsden welcomed Better Finance to the championship.
"better finance™️ is a fantastic fit for the New Zealand Superbike Championship, and we're excited to welcome them on board for the 2027 season," says Marsden.
"They're an ambitious New Zealand company with a genuine passion for supporting communities and growing brands. They bring fresh energy, strong marketing capability and a commitment that will further strengthen the championship both on and off the track."
Cavanagh followed the 2026 championship and said the growth and professionalism of the series convinced better finance™️ to become involved.
"I received very positive feedback from the Christchurch round before attending the MotoFest Bike Show, where I was able to experience the championship first-hand," says Cavanagh.
"Seeing the motorcycle industry, competitors and fans all come together at such a professionally presented event was incredibly impressive. The atmosphere, the quality of the racing and the overall event experience demonstrated the exciting direction the championship is heading."
"The momentum behind NZSBK really stood out to me, and it made the decision to become involved an easy one."
The opportunity followed Star Insure's decision to step away from the championship naming rights after several successful seasons.
Star Insure will remain an important partner of the series as the naming rights sponsor of the Star Insure MotoFest Bike Show.
"Star Insure has been a valued and loyal supporter of NZSBK, and we're delighted they remain part of the championship through the MotoFest Bike Show," Marsden says.
"Their continued involvement reflects the value they see in the event and the direction the championship is heading."
