We are launching a new class for non-championship Superbike & Supersport riders in 2026. The intent of this class is to create a pathway for emerging riders to come and be part of our national championship with a class structure and rules relevant to their experience and speed.

Red Carpet "Free Entry" Deal
To help build the class we are offering FREE ENTRY into this class for all four rounds of the Star Insure NZ Superbike Championship Series for the Top 3 non NZSBK Formula 1 & 2 riders in each class from:
If the race times for riders who qualify for the FREE ENTRY deal are not below the SST qualifying times, they will be invited to race in the Superbike and Supersport 600 Championship Classes, with free entry, provided the bike meets the class technical requirements.
Any competitors who rode in the 2025 NZSBK Series do not qualify for the Red Carpet Deal. The Road Race Commission will identify and contact those who qualify for this deal and their decision is final.

Class Technical Specifications
Superbike Trophy - Non Championship
Lap Time Cut-offs
Lap time breakouts result in 5 second post-race penalty per infringement. Continued breakouts may result in promotion or exclusion.
Engine Specifications
- •Engine Capacity as per appendix C - Superbikes
- •Fuel as per Appendix C - Superbikes
- •Motor modifications are open
- •Maximum cubic capacity as according Appendix C
- •No turbos, superchargers or alternate fuels
Technical Requirements
- •All relevant technical requirements of Chapter 10 must be met
- •Production street motorcycles manufactured post 2000
- •Can be modified for racing purposes
- •No specific race only models allowed
- •Braking systems and rider controls are open
- •Suspension is open
- •Wheels and ignitions are open
Tyre Regulations
- •Maximum allocation of 2 fronts and 2 rears per round
- •Tyre warmers may be used
- •Wet weather tyres may be used
